ASHA MICS
MC Asha Mic is regarded as one of the most prolific and original MCs to date, having made his mark on the UK Drum & Bass & House scene since 1994. His break through came on pirate radio station Underground FM, working alongside Kemistry & Storm, Locksey, and Inc & Quest to name a few.
His biggest inspiration was meeting Apache MC, who complimented on Asha’s original lyrics and MC style – giving him the boost and confidence to make something of his talent. Having established himself on various Pirate radio stations, Asha went on to host popular club nights such as ‘Nights of the Underground’, along side DJ Fabio at Bagley’s Kings Cross, The Country Club in Essex alongside Karl ‘Tuff Enuff’ Brown & ‘Sanctuary’ at Milton Keynes, which led to him MCing to 3000+ capacity nights organised by the ‘2000 AD Collective’.
In 1997 Asha joined forces with a team of promoters and started his own night aptly named ‘Night of Explosion’ at London’s Power House.
MC Asha Mic & DJ JazzCool were brought together by MC Boogaloo (RIP), which enabled them to join forces and form a successful duo, taking House music ‘The Future of House’ to another level on London’s leading radio station Centreforce Radio.com. His personality and ability enable him to work his velvet lyrics beautifully over DJ JazzCool’s eclectic choice of sexy & deep House music sounds.
MC Asha Mic has proved he has a determination which has helped him to establish and remain one of the UKs most prolific MCs on the House & Garage scene.
