Simon C started buying Records back in 1988 when he fell in love with underground music that was being pumped out across London’s Airwaves by pirate stations such as Centreforce and Sunrise! After a few years Simon had built up a good collection of Records for a 15 year old boy, and soon found himself making tapes for his close friends and selling to those that weren’t. Soon Simon found that not only was he being asked to make tapes but now being asked to play his records at party’s, this soon lead to Simon learning to Mix on Turntables. Around the same time Simon was also a keen CB and radio Ham! (With no license of course) This soon led to Simon meeting other people from the Radio world. With his background in music, party’s and CB radio it was a sure thing that he would end up setting up a Station, And in 1992 Simon and a few other friend founds themselves on the FM Band. Simon’s Career as a Dj soon grew bigger playing at more party’s and on different stations in and around the South East, He also started running squat parties and helping to organize club nights in London. From 1992 to 2008 Simon has played on Some of the Biggest Stations to Grace the Airwaves within London Essex and Kent, Slammin 98, Soundz94.3, Force1065, Shine87.9 ext ext! Simon has also played on legal Radio holding a residency for two years on MDFM / Time 1068FM. Now in 2008 Simon C is currently playing on London’s leading Centreforce Radio.com every Sunday night from 9 – 11pm. Other than Radio Simon has been privileged enough to play for different promoters and clubs up and down the country & abroad. Simon has also moved in to the world of producing and promoting with his dj Partner! Tony Smoove, Together they have opened a recording studio and created a promotion company under the name of Love to Funk which has now been successfully up and running for 3 years! The future for Dj Simon C and Love to Funk is looking Bright so keep your ears open.
