Andy Orr

Started drumming at the age of 8. Joined first Mod band ( Small World) in 1979 recording the highly collectible single “ love is Dead”.
Joined The Scene in 1982 releasing a handful of well received singles and appearing on countless compilation albums.
When The Scene split in 1986 Andy continued with session playing.
The Scene reformed in 2010 for a “ one off” gig at London’s famous 100Club but continued to gig until 2022.
In 2022 Andy was invited to join the lineup of his teenage heros Purple Hearts where he continues to gig across the country.
From his teenage years Andy run his own Soul/RnB clubs until the mid 80s.
Andy now enjoys playing his original old Vinyl as a guest DJ at Mod and Northern Soul clubs and as a regular guest DJ on Centreforce 883 DAB Radio
