Background


Richie’s sound is pure feel good house music with a deep soulful groove, but he’s acquired a taste for all thing house over 30 years of loving club music and culture.

In the late 90’s Richie started his radio career on Passion FM where he played various slots over a 3 year period, and a predominantly house and 4/4 garage sound. Richie also played at a number of their events including Masqurade every Friday at the Opera House. In the early 2000’s Richie moved to Unknown FM where he held the prime time Saturday evening show between 6pm -8pm called the Saturday Soulful sessions, under the name Richard M.

He was a very popular figure in London club scene and played at club such egg, MoS, Pacha London, Bagleys. He also held a residency at the famous Turnmills playing mainly at their City Load monthly event, alongside some of the biggest names on the scene such as Danny Rampling, the late great Frankie Knuckles, CJ Mackintosh, Masters at Work and Bobby and Steve to name a few. Also various others events a the club including Friday’s longest running night The Gallery.

After taking a break from DJing for a few years, Richie was honoured to be asked to play at the Clockwork Orange reunion in 2013, at McQueens in Shoreditch. He has since played at many of Clockwork’s events at venues such as KOKO, 338, Fire & Lightbox, Printworks, Fabric and the Clockstock festivals at Chelmsford Racecourse.

In mid 22 Richie became part of the famous Centreforce family when he secured a bi weekly Tuesday evening show between the hours 8pm – 10pm
